| Should I get up to take a Piss? |
We all know that the storm yesterday caused a lot of damage. No one can blame anyone, although I think that some damage could have been avoided with some more attention.
However, now it's all clear and it's all over. A storm happens once in a while, maybe once in ten years, so it's acceptable that roads and buildings were damaged because of it. However, right now there are more hazards on our road than usual. Some rubble walls were demolished into the road, some tarmac was fractured, tree roots gone up making the road unsteady, roads maybe slippery as still wet probably from drains still pouring out yesterday's water.
Where's Austin Gatt? I mean, he should be jumping right now, trying to solve the situation. By all means road safety is a must. I think he's being too relaxed on this, we haven't heard any plans on road safety at this emergency state. Yesterday even main roads were damaged badly, how can you keep so relaxed and do nothing when you've got such hazardous roads to start working on?
But it's alright Austin, we're used to hazards in our roads. We're used to going round holes which can damage our car, not to mention the Labour billboards which were so hazardous, after all you were amongst the first to take an action on that.
Seems like you need to sort out your priorities, I mean, probably you're still taking a piss as you once mentioned. Keep that up.

Well perhaps the fact that he won't be a candidate for the next general election is easing the pressure of dealing with such an issue! Why bother trying to deal with a national crisis (that happens annually)if you are not going to win any votes by doing so? That's the way he is looking at things I presume.
ReplyDeleteCandidate or not, he's still the most arrogant minister of all time.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he is too busy doing 'pipi' as he likes to do so often at the PN headquarters
ReplyDeleteMost likely
ReplyDeleteso now we are blaming the government for natural disasters? these are situations that nobody has control over..instead of blogging the usual hate which in this case un unnecessary (unless you expect Mr.Gatt to contol the weather, we arent living in hogwarts you know?), it would be better to blog about the excellent work the civil protection has carried out over the past two days (as they always do!) and also TimesOfMalt and the television stations for the constant updates and information given out to the public
ReplyDeleterelated to your blog, i think you have failed to research the news as in case you havent notices, the government is already doing its job cleaning up the streets but unfortunatly its not that easy to be in several places at one time:

So true man. It's a damn shame but it seems that very few actually realise that nothing has been done in 5 years, and this ain't just the usual saying, it actually is the case - http://markbiwwa.com/2012/09/04/we-stopped-the-floods-5-years-ago/
ReplyDeleteBlaming the government for natural disasters? Did you AT LEAST read what I have written?
ReplyDeletePointless comment. I don't expect anything better from anyone who's afraid of showing his name.
Pathetic
PS. I think mark gave you an appropriate response
ReplyDeleteThere isnt much one can do with regards to valleys such as Birkirkara and Qormi. The main purpose of valleys is to allow the passing of water. It is how they were created and how they will continue to operate.
ReplyDeleteso anybody who doesnt agree with you is pathetic ? ..typical reasoning from labour supporters ..reminds me of the days under mintoff when one could not openly speak his mind unless he wished to be beaten up or taken into custody..god forbid the next 5 dark years which seem to predict a labour government in power..
ReplyDeleteThe way you twist my wording is hilarious.Your reasoning is pathetic. You were never part of the argument. It's also hilarious the fact that you blame me as being so 'arrogant' yet you speak with a much more of an arrogant tone yourself. You tend to generalize, I wouldnt be surprised if youre scared by the babaw eighter.
ReplyDeleteOf course there is much to do. First of all we must construct proper roads mhux ta kaf kaf. Second, we must be able to seperate drainage from sewage. That way there will be no bursting pothols creating a much more dangerous environment. Not to mention ths sick smell.
