Hadn't he 5 years to do that? Oh I'm sorry, after four years he found out that Mater Dei is not coping with the number of patients. Under a PN government, waiting lists were also to be cut, however, today there are patients waiting for years! I don't expect to wait for 13 hours in the "Emergency" Department either, what sort of emergency service is that?
PN are still to answer how they incidently forgot to build a whole department, which is now costing us more than it should have costed. They have also got to answer how the hospital costed the government almost three times as much as the estimates.

And what is the Labour method of reducing waiting times in the emergency room?
ReplyDeleteLabour will give life to local health centre, which the Nationalist party has utterly left out. People rush to emergency departments because Local Health centers are unavailable, or not properly equipped.
ReplyDeleteNo, people rush to the emergency room because the staff there has seen it all and have the experience to handle the emergency well. Truth be told, local health centres will only ever be good for treating minor ailments and will never fully replace the versatility of the hospital.
ReplyDeleteJust for your info, at the E&A Unit at Mater Dei, there are 3 Areas. Most patients are classified for Area 3. Area 3 issues are those which could be done in a local health centre.
ReplyDeletePN literally killed the concept of local health centres, truth betold, that is why people just lost hope in them and rush to hospital.
